Course Objective and Deliverable
At the end of the 1 Day training, the trainee shall be equipped with

• The basic network management concept
• Familiar with WhatsUp Gold features
• Using WhatsUp Gold for daily network management tasks
• Operate and manage the operational WhatsUp Gold system, which includes network maps, basic configuration, notifications groups, email/sms notification and reporting.

• Creating and editing network Maps
• Daily Network Monitoring Tasks
• Monitoring devices - polling method, devices property, monitoring setup
• Monitoring Services - built-in and customized TCP/IP Services monitoring Windows Services monitoring
• Monitoring Events - configuration of Event Server, Defining of SNMP Trap, Syslog and Windows Log events
• Performance Monitors – Network Interface, CPU, Memory, Hard Disk etc utilization. Ping Latency and Availability
• Advance Monitoring: SQL, WMI Monitoring.
• WhatsUp Active Script Monitoring, with hands-on on creation and understanding the key variables.
• Notifications (40mins) – Defining groups, SMS, email and paging notifications
• Logs and Reports
• Routine WhatsUp Gold Maintenance
• Remote Configuration and Management
• Using WhatsUp Gold built-in network tools for daily troubleshooting
